CAR SERVICE TO SAI~
Whereas a hearing is about to be had before the Honorable Railroad commission o~' the
State of California, relative to the secu~'ing for the City o£ South San ~rancisco, a
electric car service from this city' to San Francisco, and whe~'eas, there will be a conside-.,'ate
nu_mber of witnesses and representatives of various civic ~u~d c omraevicial organizations of said
City that desi~'e to attend said hearing and aid in everh way possible to bring' about this desire,
result and
Whereas, it will be a great inconvenience for these representatives to attend the hear.
ina in San Francisco, especis-lly members ol' the :lanufa~tures Association, who are daily employed
in South San Francisco:
l~ow therefore be it resolved that it is the desire of this Board that the hearing in
said matter be held at the City Hall, South San ~'rancisco, at a time that will give the City
full o]:portunitlf to arr~.n:~re and I~resent its case in said matter, by furnishing the necessary de-
tailed mgtter and the witne~ses necessary to show the iionorable Coi~]ission the justness of its
cause.
Be it further' resolved that the City At1. orney present a copy of this reso/.ution to the
Railroad Commission of the State of ~ali~'ornia, ~ith a request that the said Commission ~rant
City of South £sn ~'rancisco v,;hat it asks £or herein.
