The Board had the following comments: 1.Revise the project architecture to include more articulation on the side and rear elevations and the roof lines; the current design appears too box-like. st 2.Consider lowering the height of the building fronting on 1 Lane. 3.Revise the space between the buildings to provide more usable area. Re-submittal required. 5. The Board had the following comments: 1.The proposed wall sign on the west elevation is too large for the area. Reduce the letter height to a maximum of 3 feet. Recommend approval with comment. 6. OWNER Kaiser Foundation Hospitals APPLICANT MetroPCS ADDRESS 1200 El Camino Real PROJECT NUMBER P12-0069: DR12-0033 & UPM12-0009 PROJECT NAME MetroPCS Wireless (Case Planner: Linda Ajello) DESCRIPTION Use Permit Modification and Design Review allowing the addition of mechanical equipment and antennas to an existing wireless communication facility situated on the roof of the Kaiser Permanente Hospital building at 1200 El Camino Real, in the El Camino Real/Chestnut Mixed Use, Medium Density (ECR/C-MXM) Zoning District, in accordance with SSFMC Chapters 20.270, 20.370, 20.450, 20.480 & 20.490. The Board had the following comments: 1.The Antennas should be painted to match the building. 2.If the existing €monopole is not required once the antennas are removed, the €monopole should be removed. Recommend approval with condition. 7. OWNER SSF Investments LLC APPLICANT Rajen Shah ADDRESS 121 East Grand Avenue PROJECT NUMBER P13-0015: DR13-0008 PROJECT NAME New Patio Enclosure (Case Planner: Linda Ajello) DESCRIPTION Design Review to construct a new 1,344 square foot sunroom/breakfast room within an existing hotel courtyard (Comfort Inn) at 121 East Grand Avenue in the Gateway Specific Plan (GPSD) Zoning District in accordance with SSFMC Chapters 20.220 & 20.480. The Board had the following comments: 1.The proposed project and site photos do not match the the plans that were submitted Revise the plans and resubmit.. 2.Check with the Fire Department to see if fire sprinkers will be required. 3.Redesign the project to tie in with the existing building to include the following: · Scale plans with details show how the new structure interface works with the existing building and curved second floor balcony. · Landscaping plans showing redesign of the courtyard design. · ADA accesible routes/requirements · Drainage & Grading plans · Walkway path design Resubmittal required. 8. OWNER ARE Technology Center SSF LLC APPLICANT DGA - Amy Jean Robbins ADDRESS 343 Oyster Point Blvd PROJECT NUMBER P13-0016: DR13-0009 PROJECT NAME Exterior Modification - Trash Enclosure (Case Planner: Linda Ajello) DESCRIPTION Design Review of a new trash enclosure at 343 Oyster Point Boulevard, located in the Business Technology Park Zoning District (BTP) in accordance with SSFMC Chapters 20.110 and 20.480. The Board had the following comments: 1.Add a 6 ft evergreen hedge at the side of the existing and proposed enclosures to add a visual effect to the site and elimate the proposed tree. Recommend approval with condition. 9. OWNER BioMed Reality APPLICANT BioMed Reality ADDRESS 800-1000 Gateway Blvd PROJECT NUMBER P08-0034: PP13-0001 PROJECT NAME Gateway Business Park Master Plan (Case Planner: Linda Ajello) DESCRIPTION Gateway Master Plan - Precise Plan Amendment for Phase 1 of the Gateway Business Park, including the redevelopment of 800 and 1000 Gateway Boulevard. Phase 1 includes the demolition of two existing office/R&D buildings and construction of a new twelve- and five-story, 453,648 square foot office/R&D building with below grade parking, a two-story, 33,875 square foot amenity building and related site and landscape improvements, in accordance with SSFMC Chapters 20.220, 20.480 & 20.530. The Board had the following comments: 1.Add larger street trees along Oyster Point Blvd. to be more in scale with the proposed building. 2.In Phase 2 of the development, incorporate more trees along the southeast side of the parking structure, along the access road. Recommend approval with conditions.
