Purpose of the meeting:
1. Call to Order. TIME: 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call. PRESENT: Councilmembers Addiego, Gupta
and Normandy, Vice Mayor Garbarino,
Mayor Matsumoto
ABSENT: None.
3. Public Comments — comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting
Agenda.
4. Agenda Review
Item 7 will not be heard.
5. Board and Commission Interviews
a. Interview applicants for Multiple Positions:
5: 30 p.m.: Kristina Anderson (Cultural Arts Commission and BPAC)
5: 40 p.m.: Amethyst Monce (Cultural Arts Commission, BPAC and SMC
Flood Control District)
b. Interview applicants for the Cultural Arts Commission:
5:50 p.m.: Christopher Cairo
6 :00 p.m.: Keta Williams
(Previously interviewed applicants: Kristina Anderson, Amethyst Monce)
c. Interview applicants for the Parking Place Commission:
6:10 p. m.: Sabrina Bortoli
6: 20 p. m.: Jolene Malfatti
d. Interview applicants for the San Mateo County Flood Control District:

Interviews conducted in order of appearance on the agenda with the exceptions of Kristina Anderson,
Christopher Cairo, Kamala Silva, who were not present.
6. Discussion and appointment of applicants to the:
a. Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee - One (1) vacancy; no term
expiration.
b. Cultural Arts Commission — Two (2) vacancies; term expirations June 13,
2016.
c. Parking Place Commission — One (1) vacancy; term expiration December
31, 2016.
d. San Mateo County Flood Control District — One (1) vacancy; term
expiration March 31, 2018.
Motion — Vice Mayor Garbarino /Second — Councilmember Gupta: to appoint Keta Williams and
Amethyst Monce to the Cultural Arts Commission. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Motion — Vice Mayor Garbarino /Second — Councilmember Gupta: to appoint Jolene Malfatti to the
Parking Place Commission. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Motion — Vice Mayor Garbarino /Second — Councilmember Gupta: to appoint Ed Bortoli to the San
Mateo County Flood Control District. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee: No appointment made, however Council wished to extend
the opportunity to interview for the vacancy to Ms. Bortoli before deciding to reopen the recruitment.
