Purpose of the meeting:
1. Call to Order. TIME: 6: 33 p.m.
2. Roll Call. PRESENT: Councilmembers Addiego, Gupta and
Normandy, Vice Mayor Garbarino,
Mayor Matsumoto.
ABSENT: None.
3. Public Comments — comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting
Agenda.
4. Agenda Review
Item 6 heard before Item 5.
5. Interview applicants for the Planning Commission:
6: 45 p. m.: Norm Faria
7: 00 p. m.: Mark Nagales
7:15 p. m.: Aristides Ruiz
Interviews were conducted for the applicants in the order of appearance on the agenda.
6. Discussion and appointment of applicant to the Planning Commission (one
vacancy).
Motion — Vice Mayor Garbarino /Second — Councilmember Normandy: to appoint Aristides Ruiz to
fill the Planning Commission vacancy created by the resignation of Eugene Sim. Unanimously
approved by voice vote.
7. Resolution approving interim funding for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 for the South
San Francisco Conference Center Authority. (Dean Grubl, CCA Director)
Conference Center Director Grubl summarized staff report containing a resolution requesting
approval of interim funding. The Authority had met Monday, June 16 and approved the budget for
fiscal year 2014/2015. The budget was scheduled for Council's approval on the agenda of July 9. As
such, interim funding was being requested.
Motion — Vice Mayor Garbarino /Second — Councilmember Gupta: to approve Resolution No.72-
2014. The motion was approved by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Addiego, Gupta,
and Normandy, Vice Mayor Garbarino, and Mayor Matsumoto. NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None.
Adjournment.
Being no further business, Mayor Matsumoto adjourned the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
