Absent, Trustees J.H. ]~et!ey and ~ TM Holston
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
The opening of bids for ~he improvment of certain lots on Baden and [..'Itller Avenue were
taken up at this time.
Moved by Trustee ~[tn,,~.gnam se ended b.v Trustee Uallace that the bids be opened .

Bates Borland .~ Ayers Oradeing 90 cents per Cubic Yard,Concrete ~utters,£5 cents per square
foot; Concrete Curbs 95 cents per Lineal foot; Concrete Sidewalks 20 cents per square foot
Oiled macadam [~avement 15 cents ~:er square foot.
The following resolution of award of contract was then introduced by Trustee

for doing the fo!~owin~, work in said City to wit;

west of thc west line of ~ruce Avenue ~nd parallel thereto be improved by gradeing,
except where such g~'ade[ng has already been done; and by constructing co~cre~e curbs in each
said streets except where such curbs have already been constructed;and by constructing~ concrete
sidewalks in each of said streets having a width of five ~) feet co~encing two /£) fee~
from the boundary lines of each of said streets and extending five ~) feet towards the
~urb lines,e~cept where such ?idewa!ks has already been constructed; and by filling in earth
back of the curbs of each of said strec~ts so as to bring the sidewalks between the curb
~nd concrete si~ev~alks to official grade,e×cept where such f~!ling has already been done
~nd by constructing concrete ~tters 'n each of said streets,e~cept where such pavement
has already been constructed. ~
All ~'ork herein provided for shall be done to official grade and in accordance with the
special plans, an8 specifications heretofore adopted by said .Uoard of Trustees for doing ssi8 wc
and now on file in the office of the City Clerk,to which reference is hereby ~.flade for further
description of said work·

five (5) years from th- second day of January next suceeding their date,and' shal. l bo issued t
to rep~sent assessments of tu'enty-five (~5) dollars .'~r more remaining unpaid for thirty
days after the date of the warrant issued to the contractor,or fi~e ($) days after the ~ecisio
of said Ba~d og Trustees on an appea%; an even annual propor~ion of the principal sram of
Avenue
taken up at this time.
