This meeting was called to order at 8 0' clock p.m.,by Trustee G.~. Holston"Presi~m of the Board" Roll-call Rollcall fo~md the following Trustees,present,to-wit; .F.A. Cunninghem,A.J. Eschelbach, J.H. Xelley,~nd GoW. Holeto~. Absent Trustee M.F. Healy The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Xelley zeconded by Trustee Eschelbach and re~lar!y carried were approved as read. A petition to set Doles as Der b~ue print ~Z~2 R was received from the Pacific Gas & E.Co. th8 matter was referred to the street co~Etttee with power to act,and was subsequently app- -roved by s ~ajority of the said street conmittee. ~ com~vunication w~s received from Core B. Rackei public we!f~re nurse for South San Frzncisco thanking the Board of Trustees for thei~ recent action eppointing a public welfare nurse for this community. The communication w~s ordered placed on file. An application to construct a one story concrete building on the E~st~/2 of lot ~ Block was receivea ~rom i. Gi~rgi and upon ~otion o~ Tristee Cunningha~ seconde~ by Trustee Xel~el and re.~m~larly carried were epproved as read. The follow ing resolution was introduced by Trustee Eschelbzch. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco,that this Board respect- fully urge upon the President of the United States to defer the proposed sale of the German Merchent fleet taken by the United ~tetes during the lete war for a sum much less than their actual v~lue,to the Internationa~ Mercantile Marine,or to ~ny other corporation,or orgenizati~ ~hose skips do not fly the American flag~ and be further ~ v - t~at his board urge the President tc consider the expediency of operating seid shi~ ~n~ ~$e~en~ acsDices,thus preventing a gre~t~ financial sacrifice and rendering said ~n~]~ ~ 'available as Naval Auxilliaries in time of war: and be it further Resolved: that this board hereby places itself on record as being in favor of legislation des~ ed to prevent the sale of sa~d ships ~nder such conditions :and be ii, further Resolved: tLat tko Clerk of this .Board be,and he is hereby instructed to forward cot~ies of thi,° re~ol~iion to the President of the United States ,to the chairman of the United States ~ena~ors and representatives of this district in congress. ,?.hipping Board and to the 'I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and ~dopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco tkis 16th day of February ,1920 ,by the following vote; Ayes Trustees P.A.
