A communication was received from E.h.Anderson, Chief Clerz, Metal and ~he~m~t OompanF,
for permi~ion to carry s revolver to and from the bank of South Lan ~"rancisco, with funds used for
payroll purposes, me.erred to Ci{y L,!arsha!.
The Gamewel! Fire Alarm ~e!e{}raph Company replied to the city's comraunication relative to the
completion of their contract with the city, .stating that the new valve for the Diaphone morn had be~
shipped to Fire Chief Truax, and that they would gladly give proper attention to any other defects
when the same are fully explained to them. Accepted,and filed.
A de!esstion of citiKens fro~] Pack's distric{ waited on the Board concerning the problem of
sewerage on the East side of the ~an ~ruho Road in that section of the city. 3~fter discu~sion ii was
decided to take the matter up with the city engineer smd secure a report on the best method of
r, rocedure.
P. ttention was called to the fact that a light was needed in front of the city hs!l a~nd one
middle of the block on Commercial avenue between Linden and Maple avenues. The clerk was instructed
to order them installed.
