The meeting was called to order by ~rustee ~¥,.nolston,~resident of the ~oard, at eighl 0'clock p.m. Roll usll. nell call found all ~rustees present, to-wit:- ~'.A.~unningh~m, ~.~.mschelbach,~.~.nardy er,n.ocampini,and ~.~.nolsten. The minutes cf the previous meeting were read and upon ~otien of Trustee uun~ingham seconded by ~rustee ~schelb~ch and regularly carried were approved..~ A communication was received from the ~outh~rn racifi9 ~o. referring to the matter of the '.assumim~ the cost of protecting the Oouthern ~acific track~during the construction of the sanit~ s~erm-water sewer underneath the aame,at a cost estimated at ,2000,stating that this arrangement w~s satisfactory to them, and that they would proceed with the work ~ccording to this agreement. accepted and ordered filed. a communication was received from the fact that the cities of ~an marco, ~urlingame ~nd nillsboro will hold am zmmisZice ~y celebration at San marco on ~ovember llth, Ammistice ~ay, ~ legal holiday, and petitioning the ~ity of oouth can ~'rancisco to contribute a float to represent $~uth San z.rancisco in the parade,- a queen of the float to be elected by popular vote contest to be carried on by the local newspaper~ or to be a~pointed by the ooard of ~rustees.whis queen will be designated"miss ~outh ~an ~'rancisco, ~rustee ~'..A.ounningham was appointed a committee of one to confer with the local ~ost, ameri¢ with a view to accepting the invitation, with the co-operation of the local post. The metal an~ ~hermit ~orporation petitioned the ~oard to camcel their taxes for the year on the ground that their industry had not started o~erations.. The ~oard did not feel disposed to the request and the clerk was authorized to so state to the company and the letter ordered filed. messrs ourges,~hompson,~ey~uth and ~ates of the Pacific ~oast steel ~ompany appeared before ~oard with a request that the ~ity secure an easement from the land company for am outlet for sewa~ through their land on account of new buildings purposed to be erected.City engineer ~neese and ~it~ attorney ~oleberd ~ere instructed to look into the legal ~nd engineering phases of the matter and at the next meeting. The follow£ng claims against the ~ity were next presented for payment:- ~.L.Hickey, ~lunbing ~nd material ~.J.Lemmons labor on sewer ~0.S.F.Water ~o W~ter hall and fountain ~ep~. The motion was seconded by ~rusteee ~campini and regularly carried. ~n applicstion for a soft drink license was received from 5pero Bags~ilos for the restaurant [210 grand. Ave. on motion of ~rustee ~unningham seconded by ~rustee ~schelbach ~he license was granted by the following vote:- Ayes, Trustees, ~'.A.~unningham,~.J.Eschelbach,L~G,~ardy,~.Scampini,and ~.W.~olston. ~oes, Trustees, ~one. Absent, Trustees, ~one. There being no further business before the Board~Trustee ~ardy moved to adjourn until ~onday, october 24th, 1921, at eight o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly carried.
