HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1922-09-05IITVJ Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco, held Tuesday, September ~th, 1922. The meeting was called to order at ?;30 o'clock p.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, P~esident of t Board. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit;- Trustees,.F.A.Ounningham, H.Scampini an~ G.W.Holston. Absent, Trustees, A.J.Eschelbach and L.G.Hardy Jr. Trustees Hardy and Eschelbach appeared after ro~l call. The minutes of the prewious meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach secondE Trustee Cunningham and regularly carried were approved as read. An application was received from the Screen Service Bureau for permission to hold an enter1 ment and social dance at Fraternal Hll September 2Zrd next. The Clerk was instructed to write the maz ment and ascertain the aims and purpose of the organization. Chief Thos. R.Murphy of the San Francisco Fire Department wrote in answer to the city's vote of thanks for his services during the fire at the Shaw-Batcher Pipe Works Sunday August 20th, ls expressing his appreciation of the same and assuring the City Trustees of his services in any manner possible whenever the occasion arises. Communication ordered filed. A communication was received from the League of California Municipalities calling attentioz to the coming convention at Palo Alto and Stanford September 19 to £Zrd, and inviting the City to sez representatives. Filed. The case of C..E.Johnson, restaurant Owner , 90 Grand Avenue,cited to appear before the Be to show cause why his soft drink license should not be revokod for violating theordinance, was calle~ No answer being made to the complaint Trustee Scampini moved the license be revoked. The motion was onded by Trustee Hardy and regularly carrmed. The motion was seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly ca:ried. There being no further business before the Board Trustee Cunningham moved to adjourn until next regular meeting.
