The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held in the ~ity Hall, Monday evening December ist,19£4. The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by trustee H.F.McNellis, President the board. ROLL CALL. Roll call found all trustees present,to-wit;- Trustees, C ,Blank.F.A.Cunningham,A. J.Eschelbach,H.McCaffrey,H.F.McNellis. The minutes of the previous meeting were :~ead and approved. Amy Loughlan, lot 38,block 118, map of South San Francisco.made written protest against the payment of weed charges on the property. Protest not sustained. Henry A.Woodard, lot 24, block 123, made written protest against the payment of weed charg against his property. Referred to the city engineer for investigation. C. Bonalanza. secretary of the Avalon Club made application for permission to hold a dance in Fraternal Hall. Saturday evening, December,13th,1924. Permit granted. A.Marani, 238 California Avenue,applied for a permit to co~struct a frame store building at the corner of Linden & California Avenues, the building to be plastered inside and stucco outsid Permit gra.nted provided the building i~ constructed within 90 days. E,Franzetti made application for permis~ ion to construct a cottage on Olive Avenue, Granted P. Barattera made application to con,~truct a two story building at ~i'~808 Linden. Avenue, Plans accompan~ied the application. Permit granted. Stirling Foster made application for permission to construct two cottages in Peck's subdivi ion, and submitted blue prints of the buildings. ~ermits granted. Harry J.Borba,Editor of ~The Enterprise" petitioned the board for duplicates of checks and $243~, in the amounts of ~28.~0 and $4.~0 respectively, stating the checks had been lost. On motion regularly carried the clerk waz. instructed to issue duplicates and notify the banks to stop payment on the original checks. Mr.M. Jensen, President of the Board of Trustees of Lawndale appeared before the board and suggested that the City of South San San ~rancisco c~ange the name of the old San Bruno Avenue Rca running from Daly City, through Colma and behind or e~s~ of the cemeteries into Paradise Yalley,~to Hillside Drive. He stated this was necessary on account of there being another San Bruno Road entering this city from San ~rancisco on the bay shore. City attorney Lavis was instructed to look into the matter and ~eport to the board at the next meeting. City Building Inspector Edgar Lewis reported no repairs had been made to stop the leak in t roof of the City Hall. ~e state d he is of the opinion ~hat the builder of the hall should' make the repairs, as?the roof leaked since the hall was built. Fire Marshal Uruax appeared before the board and stated that the Pacific Gas & Electric co. had not furnished the city with a set of blue prints of its mains,a~ requested several months ago. The clerk stated he had written the letter of request following the meeting at which the order was given. Chief Truax suggemted the clerk be instructed to communicate with John D.Kuster, Genaral A[anager of ~he Pacific Gas and Electric Company, ~Tan Jose, Cal, and make request for the blue prin and a valve wrench. So ordered. The matter of amending the zoning ordinance to meet the city's expansion waz· next brought to the attention of the board by President McNellis. After discussion it was decided to bring the subject up at an ~djOurned meeting, when the board will be advised by City Attorney Davis as to procedure in accordance with the present zoning, building and fire ordinances. The reports of Fire Marshal, Electrical Inspector, City Marshal, Health Officer, City iiecor and City Clerk for the month ending November 2~,~th,192A were next read. The report of ~he City Redorder ,~howed collections of ~440 for the month, while the report of the Oity Clerk showed the following balances in the various funds, General ~und; - $17,89o. ~4, Library F~md ~ -$1319. ?~ 1913 Sewer bonds; $2352.76~"19] 9 Bonds",5363.05;-1923 Sewer Bonds , -$41, 304 . 55 .
