A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Monday eveninT, December 19th,1927. The meeting was called to order at ?,.J0 o clock p.m. by Councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Mayor of South San Francisco. ROLL CALL. Roll call found all members of tke Council present, to -wit;- Councilmen A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, M.Minucciani, R.Tibbetts, A.J,Eschelbach. The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions they were adopted as r~ad. A communication was received from James Morris, Town of B~den, stating a small house was bein8 moved upon his lot, ~14, block $8, and requested the city to prevent further encroaching upon his property. Referred to the Building Inspector. An application was received from Fischer & Parr, asking permission to hold dancing between co~ at their restaunant 12Z6 San Bruno Road, until I a.m. and on holidays and special occasions until no admission to be charge~. Referred to the police co~m~ission. A card of thanks was receiw~d from Mrs.Oharles Boehringer and family acknowledging the recei~ the city's expression of sympathy and floral piece at the death of Mr. Charles Boehringer. Protests against the pa~Hnent of wee~: tanes, and requesting the ~'efunding of sa~e,were receive from E.Castro and R.O.Conway. ~eferred to tlc City Engineer. In the matter of the request of E.C.?eck for a refund on account of a weed ta;~ of ~44.46, the sum of ~31.96~was allowed. NumerOus a?plications for pool room and soft drink licenses were received. Referred to the Commission for consideration. Mayor Eschelbach and Councilman kynding reported a Councilman's committee had visited the PacJ Car & Equipment Con?any, investigating valuations there, and had ~ade satisfactory arrangements with company as to valuations to be adopted when ~season arrives. Citizens D.W.Ratto and Raymond L.Spangler spoke on th~ subject of placing names on the variou~ alleys in the city. For the betterment of mail delivery it was considered advisable to have all alle~ named, either similar to the street names or accorSing to numerzls. Mayor Eschelbach announced that the ~onthly checks of city employees would be paid before the Christmas holiday.
