'~ The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco Was ,held in the City Hall~Monday evening,~ February 20th,1928. The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by Councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Mayor of South San Praneiseo. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilmaz Tibbetts moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman Minucciani and regularly carried. Corradetti Brothers applie~ for permission to lower the windows, and place a door in their buildiz the southwest corner of Grand and Cypress Avejues. Referred to Building Inspector Braun with instruc- tions to report back at the next meeting. A communication was received from the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company requesting permission to place anchors accQrding to ~rawing 1918D and Sheet $1. Referred to the street committee, Application was made by the Pacific Gas & Electric Company to place poles on Eagno.lia Avenue, north of Palm Avenue., Referred to the street committee. Mrs. Annie Co~radmade application to serve as Inspector on the election Board Aprll 9th,1928. Communication ordered filed with other applications. The mont$1y repor~ of Health Office~ Doa~was read and accepted. Councilman Lloyd reported nothing had been done by the Southern 2acific Railroad Company in ~i "~ widenin~ and repairing the crossing at the Junction of Swift and Grand Avenues, south Qf the S.P Depot, The clerk was instructed'to eommunicat~ with the S.P.Co.,and ask that the work be attended to,~ and to request a reply statin~gwhen the work will begin. Engineer Klasses w~s asked as to the construction of sidewalks on San Bruno Road between Grand and Badeh Avenues. He stated the Vision Realty Company expected to lay sidewalks in the near future. Councilman Hynding suggested'writing the South San Prancisco ~and and Improvement Company reqaesting a right or'way,to the new garbage dumping grounds~ having heard that the company was opposed granting the same. No action taken., The clerk w~s instructed to request P.J.Shaw of the South S~n ~rancisc0 Land and Improvement Company and s.E.Stearns, Presi6ent of the Pacific water Company, to me~t the City Council Thursday morning, February 23, at 9 a.m. in the council chambers to discuss wa~s and means to extend water mains further in2~rkWay Terrace. G.Petligrini applied for a soft.dring, license ~or ~$1 Grand Ave.Referred po Comm. Chief of ~olice~Louis Bellone reported a man doing business on the State Highway, Town of Baden without a permit to Construct a building or store. The city council will investigate the case. The motion was seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried. There being no furt~e~ business before the meeting Councilman Lloyd moved to adjourn until Monday evening, ~ebruary 27th,1928, at' 7;30 o'clock p.m. Tibbetts and regularly carried.
