Pursuant to call of which the following is a copy, "The undersigned, members of the City C0U~
of the City of South San Francisco, hereby call a special meeting of said City Council to be held in t
Council Chamber in the City Hall of said city on ~onday,December 9th,1929, at ~;~0 o'clock p.m. for t~
purpose of commencing proceedings for the improvemer~t of a portion of Butler Road in said City of Soul
San Francisco and for the consideration of any and _uch other business as may regularly come before
said Citj Council, and we hereby waive notice of said special ~,~eeting and consent to the transaction
thereat of any and all business which may regularly come before said meeting", a special meeting of t]~
City Council of the City of South San Francisco was' ?.eld in the City Hall, ~o~onday evening, December 9~
19£9.
This meeting was called to order at ?;ZO ?'clock p.m. by ~[ouncilman A.J.Eschelbach,~ayor of
South 3an Francisco.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the coYncil present, to-wit;-
Councilmen, A.Hyndi~g, R.Lloyd, },,%~inucciani, R.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach.
The reading of the minutes of the preViou~~ meetir:g was dispensed with.
PuESOLUTION ADOPT Hi ]TC~ ~' ~".~ ~.~,~,~ ..~,~D SD~ IFICATIONS
FOR THE II~0¥EI~,~I~T OF A PORTI0~ OF BUTLER ROAD.
Counci~_'an ~inucciani introduced a resolution adopting plans and specifications Submitted
by-the city engineer for the. improvement of a port~.on of Butler Road extending from a point Opposite
the southeasterly corner of the Western' Pipe and Steel Company's 12.4~6 acres !and to the easterly
end of the existing ro,ck l~adadam trevelled way opposite the ¥,/ildberg I~etal & Refining CRmpany's ~.27
acre tract.
The resolution was adopted by the unanino~ vote of all tbs members of the City Council,
to-wit; -
Ayes, Councilmen, A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, t,,!.~,U~nucciani, R.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach.

In accordance with the proposed improveme~t of a portion of Butler Road Couucilman Tibbetts
introduced a resolution employing the Western Sand & ~ock Company to improve the portion of Butler Roe
re£erred to iu the resolution adopting plans and s?ecifications for the improvement of a portion of
Butler Road, at a cost to the City of South San'Fracisco of ,~75.O0, provided that the remaining cost
of the performance of the said work shall be paid ~or by the Western Investment. Company,E.H.E~war&s
Company ?~ildberg ~roth~rs and 3outh San ~ranoisco La d & Improvement Company~ and oroviding that i~
the above named corporations do not agree to pay all the cost of said improvement work in excess of
~&?~.O0 the CAt? o~' South ~an Fr~oisco shall not be liable for any part o~ said ~.00.
The resolution was adopted by the unanimo~s vote of all the members of the city co'emcil, to-~

Co.cAiman Hynding was authorixed to procure additi,'~nal Christmas flags and stringers for
dec~?ratiOns in Red, Green and Ysllow.
The cit~:~ attorue? was ~equested to look i:~:to t~.e m?rtter of spoeding up on the Industrial Uay
proposed improvement. Th,-~re being no further busi~'~ess bei'ore the council councilman ~,ndz_~ ~oved to
adjourn until the z~e?~t regular meeting, Lond~y, ~emoer 16th,19SR,,at ~;~50 o'clock p.m. The motio~
was seconded by councilman'Tibbett~ and regularl;? carried. ~
