The regular meeting of the City Council of ~he City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall, Monday evening, February l?, IgJ0. The meeting was called to order at 7:J0 o'clock P. M. by Councilman A. J. Eschelbach, Mayor of South San Francisco. Councilman Hynding was appointed clerk pro tern in the absence of clerk McSweeney ROLL CALL R011 call found all members of the council present, to-wit: Councilmen A. Hynding, R. Llyod, M, Minucciani, R. Tibbetts, A. J. Eschelbach. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dis~ensed with. A communication was received from South San Francisco Grove ~171, Druids for permission to hold celebration on April 25, 26 and ~7, 19JO, also asking permission to use the City's flags. Permission granted providing the Druids put up and take down flags at their own expense and re- turn flags in same condition as when loaned. Application of Max Giavia for soft drink license referred to police commission. On motion of Councilman Lloyd, seconded by Councilman Hynding, J. Quaresima was appointed special police officer for the protection of the City Parks only, to act without pay. On motion of Councilman Tibbetts, seconded by Councilman Lloyd the City Engineer was instructed to complete the Block Book for assessment purposes for the city. Claims in the amount of $1,147..8~ were next presented for payment. On motion of Councilman Hynding, seconded by Councilman ~inucciani and regularly carried the claims were order- ed paid.
