MONDAY, JULY LSTH,

The regular meeting of the city council of the 0ity of South San Francisco was
held in the city hall Monday evening, July 18th,19~.
The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock P.M. by Mayor Joseph P.0uinlan.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following members of the council present,to-wit;-
Councilmen M. Minucetanl,R.Tibbetts,Jgseph P.Quinlan.
Absent,Councilmen, V.Boido,R.Lloyd.
The minutes of the previous meeting sere read. There being no errors or omissions
,they were approved as read.
An application .wac made by a committee of Fraternal Hall members for permission to
hold a dance in the hall August ~0th,1932,. to be known as Candidates Ball, and for the behest1
of Fraternal Hall. Exemption from the $5.00 fee was requested. The council decided that no
exemption could be allowe~, but the permit was granted with this stipulation,
A communication was received from R.C.Sti0kle stating that he had assigned all his
rights,privileges and interests 'of whatever kind an& natur~ granted him by res°lution of the
city council of SeuthSamPranoisoe June 6th,1932 for a dog racing track, to the Baden Kennel
01ub of Sou~h San Francisco. He also thanked the city council for all past favors. Co~unical
accepted and placed on file.
The Pacific Gas & Electric Company applied for permission to open a trench 130 feet
longin the easterly sidewalk area of Palm Avenue So. of Park Way. Heferred to councilman Tibbet
and the desired permission ordered granted.
The Standard 0il Company of California asked permission t.o install one ~0,000 galloz
above-ground Storage Tank for' the storage of ~asoline, to be made at their plant on Linden
Avenue. Per~ission granted.
The League of California Municipalities submitte& a,proposition to haVe the city
join a~ organization to employ an expert to look afte~ the city's interests in the State
Legislature and other quarters, etc. Communication placed on file.
The monthly report of City Treasurer Kauffmann for the month of June was read and
accepted.
Under the head of Good and Welfare Fred Brown stated that all police and deput~ poli
should be citizens of South San Francisco.
Claims in the amount of $4~6.'52 were next presented to the city council for payment.
