I~0NDAy, JUNE 24,1935.
A regularly adjourned meetinglof the city council of the 5ity of South San
Francisco was held in the city hall. Monday evening, June 24th,193~.
This meeting was oalled to order at 8 o'clock p.m. by Mayor Reese Lloyd.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all the members of the city council present, as follows;-
0ouncilmen, V.Boido, R.Lloyd, J.F. Nager,M.Minucciani,R.Tibbetts.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, There being no errors or omissions,
Councilman Nager moved they be adopted as read, The motion was seconded by Councilman Tibbeots
and regularly carried.
An application for a business license was received from M.J.Corcoran to erect an
advertising sign 10' x 40' in dimensions on the property of Demitroff and Petroff, parcel
35.zone "C", on the west side of the San Bruno Road north of Linden Avenue extension.
As this location faces the State Highway City attorney Coleberd was instructed to ascertain the
city's rights :. in granting permission, and the matter was laid over.
Austin h. Hanlon,':4S2 Baden Avenue, submitted an ap!,lication for the position of
either traffic officer or policeman. Application accepted and placed on file.
This being the date set by the city council for the opening of bids for removing of
weeds from the cit~~ sidewalks, Councilman Minucciani moved that bids be opened. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
Two bids were submitted for the co~mcil's consideration, one by Angelo Monettini
and one by Frank Parenti. The bid of Angelo Monettini was for Two, (2) cente a lineal foot
and the bid of Frank Parenti was for Two (2) cents a lineal foot.
This being a tie bid, councilman Tibbetts suggested to the bidders they might confer on

"~f the estimated cost of doing the work. The council decided to s.ward the contract to
them jomntly,and called for a meeting of the board for Tuesday evening June 25,19~5 to allow
City Attorney Coleberd time to draw up anew contract.
Claims in the amount of $214.02 were next presented to the council for payment, -

The claims having been audited by the finance committee councilman Minucciani move~
they be paid. The motion was seconded by councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
The laid over a~plieation of Steve Balopolous for a restaurant license was continued
until reT~airs satisfactory to the Health Officer are completed.
City Attorney Coleberd stated he was preparing the proposed new nuisance ordinance.
POlice Chief Louis ~elloni reported that Mr. D. Phillippi of the mushroom far~
had agreed to move the manure pile at his place by the First of July.
There being no further business Councilman Minucciani moved to adjourn until
Tuesday evening, June 25th,19~8,at 8 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by councilman
Tibbetts and regularly carried.
