The regular meeting of the city council of the City of South San ~'rancisco was held in the city hall,Tuesday evening, September 3rd,1935. in the absence of l:~yor Reese Lloyd,Councilman Tibbetts moved that Councilman ~,~ager ~e selected Mayor pro rem. The motion was seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried. Councilman I~ger thereupon took the chair and called the meeting to order at B o'clock p.m. Roll ~all. Roll call found the following members of the city council present;- Com~cilmen, V.Boido, J.F.~Ia~er, M.ldinUcciani,R.Tibbe~ts. Absent, Councilman, Reese Lloyd. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilman Tibbetts moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Douncilman Minucciani and regularly carried. The monthly re~orts of the Chief of Police, Fire Chief,~ Buildinr lns~ector, ~unicipal Judge and city clerk were ~ub~-~itted to the council and on motion by Councilm~n Minuccian~, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, were accepted. . I~ayor pro tem ~ager ~hanked the officers for their promptness in attending to this duty. This being the date set by law for setting ~he tax rate for the ensuing fiscal year Do~mcilman Tibbetts introduced a resolution setting the rate on all property contained within the original corporate boundaries of the City of South San Francisco at $1.25 per Hundred Dolls assessed valuation, ~d ~1.21 on the One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation on all pro?erty contained within the .boundaries of the land annexed to the City of South San Francisco by a special election held March 1Z, 1916. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the membe of the city council present, as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, B.Boido, J.F.Mager, M.Minucciani,R.Tibbetts. Noes, Councilmen,None, Absent, Councilman ~eese Lloyd. Attest ~ Daniel McSweeney City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions, ¥ol.2,at page A98. The motion was seconded by Councilman Einucciani and regularly carried. Under the head of unfinished business Fire Chief Welte reported the ten day period. on the application of John Ruggeri for a permit to sink a 550 gallon Sasoline tank at his station,12~6 San Bruno Road,had ex~ired and there were no ~rotests. On motion by Councilman ~inucciani, seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried the permit was gr~ted. City attorney Coleberd reported not ready with ~he pro~osed amendement to reduce the penalty on tax delinque~t~. U~.der the head of New:Business !~uilding Inspector Welte submitted plans and specifications of the E.J.Dupont De Nemours & Company for a permit to construct a steel frame building at an estimated cost o£ ~Z6,000. Permit approved. In the matter of a sewer for the Dupont Company, Acting ~ayor ~ger suggested . the company be consulted as to the time they would be in need of the same.Councilman Tibbetts will be in charge of the matter. In the ma~ter of the Col~a Creek and the Baden Creek Drainage Channel engineer Klassen reported that the Works Progress Administration project proposeal for the work had not as yet been approved or r~e~ted by Washington and that tmless same w~s approved and work start within a few days, the project be~ held in abeyance until next Spring. ~oved by Councilman ~inucciani, seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried the project was held in abeyance. There being no further business CounciZman Ninucciani moved to adjourn until Tuesday evening, September 10th,19Z5,at 8 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by ~ouncilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
