HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1936-02-10 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTtt SAN FRANCISCO, HELD MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10Th,1936. Pursuant to call of which the following is a copy;- "The undersigned, being all the menbers of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, hereby call a special meeting of said city council to be held in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City of South San Francisco , on Monday, the~10~ day of February,1936, at the hour of 8 o'clock,P. for the purpose of acting upon a resolution to authorize the publication of a notice inviting sealed pro. posals or bids for furnishing equipment and labor to be used in the work of straightening and confining a portion of Colma and Baden Creek in said ~ity of South San ~ Francisco, and also,for the purpose of acting upon a resolution to accept from South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company a conveyance of a right of way for a drainage can through land in said city lying south from Railroad Avenue and Westerly from Linden Avenue, and we hereby consent that such meeting may be held at such time and place and to the transac- tion thereat of any and all business which may regularly come before said meeting. Minuc c iani John F.Mager R.Tibbetts" a special meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the city hall, Monday evening, February 10th,19~6.This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock p.m. by Mayor Reese Lloyd. ROLL CALL. Roll call found all members of the City Council present,as follows;- Councilmen, V.Loido,R.Lloyd, M.Minucciani, John F.Mager, R.Tibbetts. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. The purposes for which the meeting was called,a resolution vacating a certain resolution of August 7,19~S,pertaining to the calling for bids for equipment and labor on the straightneing and confining of portions of Colma and Baden Creeks, passing a resolution accept deed of Sout~ San Francisco Land and Improvement Company for an easement for a drainage canal and a resolution calling for bids on the Colma Creek project, were taken up in the order named. Councilman Minucciani introduced a resolution vacating a resolution calling for bid for straightening and confining Colma Creek and Baden Creek, passed August 7th,19Z8. The resolution was ~d.opted by the votes of all the members of the 8ity Council, as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, H.Lloyd,John F.Mager, Minucciani, H.Tibbetts. Noes, Councilmrn,None, Absent, Councilmen, None, Attest Daniel McSweeney City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions, Vol.~, at page 28. Councilman Tibbetts introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco accepting a deed from the Sout~ San Francisco Land and Improvement Company for an easement for a drainage canal. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the ~ity Council, as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, John F.Mager,M.Minucciani, R.Tibbetts,Reese L1 Noes, Councilmen, None, Abesnt, Councilmen,None. Councilman Mager introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco calling for bids for performing work and furnishing material and equipment for the straightening and confining of portions of Colma and Baden Creeks,specifyin~ rates for labor,etc. The resolutio was adopted by the votes of all the members of the City Council,as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, John F.Mager,M.Minucciani,R.Tibbetts,Reese Lloyd. Noes, Councilmen, None, Absent,Councilmen,None. Attest Daniel McSweeney City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions, Vol.3,at page 30. The date set for the calling of bids for the above mentioned work is Monday, Febru~ 24,1936,at 8 o'clock p.m.,in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. There being no further business before the board Councilman Minucciani moved to adjourn until Monday, February 1V,1936,the next regular meeting night.
