HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1937-04-06REGULARLY ADJ(~.URNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 6,th, 1937. A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the city hall Tuesday evening, April 6,1937. This meeting was called to order at 7 o'clock p.m. by Mayor D.W.Ratto. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following m~mbers of the ~ity Council present;- V.Botdo, J.F.Mager, M.Minucciani,D.W.Ratto. Absent, Councilman A.J.Eschelbach. The readinm of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. Councilman Mager~introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco calling for bids for a~Ford De Luxe Fordor Touring Sedan,85 horsepower , for the use of the fire department of thi~ city, and inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing the same,~ the bids to be opened by the City Council Monday evening, April 19,1937. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the City Council~presen follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido,J.F.Mager, M.Mtnucciani,D.W.Ratto. Noes, Councilmen, None. Absent, Councilman, A.J. Eschelbach. Attest Daniel McSweeney City Clerk Recorded in Book of Resolutions, Vol.3, at page 99. Councilman Mager moved that authorization be given Mayor Ratto, Councilman Eschelbach and the Park Commission to hire an architect to draw designs for showers,dressing rooms, etc, in Orange Avenue Park. The motion wa~ seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly cart Mayor Ratto proposed the appointment of Mark ?.Maher as Superintendent of Streets a sewers and the appointment of Joe Quaresima as Superintendent of Parks and trees. After discussion it was decided to lay the matter over till Councilman Eschelbach was in attenda The city clerk was instructed by Mayor Ratto to secure the dates of appoi~tm~eut of a city employees,the salary they started with, the salary receiving now, number of hoUrS~nd working per week and the duties performed by each~together with their signatures. There being no further business before the board Councilman Minucciani moved to adJo until Monday evening April 12th, 193? at7 o'clock p.m. The mation was seconded by ~ounci man Boido and regularly carried.
