HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1937-06-08ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, JU~E 8,193'~. A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Tuesday evening, June 8,1937. This meeting was called to order at 7 o'clock P.~., by Mayor D.W.Ratto. ROLL CALL. Roll Call found the following members of the council present;- Councilmen, J,F~Mager, M.Minucciani,D.W.Hatto/ Absent,Co~ncilmen V.Boido and A.J.Eschelbach. Councilmen Boido and Eschelbach appear. after roll call. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. ~ounctlman Mager inquired as to the result of the meeting of the City Attorney and the Showmen. City attorney Coleberd stated it was possible under certain sections of a Circ' and Road Show Ordinance for the showmen to operate by paying $100 f0r~ the first day's operations and $50 per day for the days following for a certain number of concessions. Fred Brown, Chairman of the finance committee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, then submitte~ a communication on behalf of Thomas E.Htckey Post 2660,Veterans of Foreign Wars applying for a license to conduct a Circus and Road Show on June 8 to June 13th, 1937,inc~ six days. The council being agreed to grant the permit Councilman Eschelbach moved to rescind his motion of June 4,1937, granting a permit for the show. The motion was seconded by Court manBoido and regularly carried. Councilman Eschelbach then moved the application of Fr. Brown dated June 8,1937, for a permit ~or~the Veterans of Foreign Wars to operate a Cir and ~oad Show from June 8 to 13,inc. be granted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ma~ and regularly carried. (No.607) RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BIDS FOR ABATEMENT OF WEEDS,193?. Counci~manMinucciant introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco calling for bids for the abatement of weeds in the streets of the City of South San Francisco and fixing the date for the opening of bids for such work as June 21 1937 at 8 o'clock p.m., in the council chamber in the City Hall. The resolution was adopt. the votes of all the members of the City Council, as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido,A.J.Eschelbach, J.F.Mager, M.Minucctani, D.W. Ratto. Noes, Councilman,None.
