A meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held MQnday, July 11,1938. This meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by ~ayor A.J.Eschelbach. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following members of the City Council present, as follows;- Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, D.W.Ratto, Rod Tibbetts. Councilmen, absent, M.Mi~ucciani. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. The matter of the Colma Creek situation was taken up and discussed at length. Engin~ Klassen prepared a statement and resolution, showing the amount of money expended on the improvement of the creek , the amount of work done and the amount of fill in since the heav] rains of 1937-38, and the amount to be removed. Accordingly Councilman Ratto introduced resolution of the City Council of the Cit~' of South San Francisco making a request upon the Governor of California,:Frank C.Merriam,&A.E.Stockburger, Director of Finance of the.- ~.': State of California, to apportion the sum of ~10,000 for the removal of silt in Colma Creek, unSer a provision in Assembly Bill, No.~8, Chapter ll, of ~arch ~, 19~8, which amount would be in addition to monies furnished by the City of South San Franci~ and the County of San ~ateo. The resolution was adopted by the following votes;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, D.W.Ratto, Rod Tibbetts. Noes, Councilmen, None. Absent, Councilmen, M.Minucciani. Resolution No.659. Attest Daniel NcSweeney. City Clerk. RESOLUTION N0.659. Recorded in Book of resolutions, vol. 3, at pages, ~65 and 166. Engineer Klassen finding that insufficient funds had been appropriated by the Fede~ Government to execute the completion of the WPA storm sewer project, requested the City Council to pass authority for the City Clerk and Assistant City Engineer to apply, as agente, additional fttuds to complete the work. On motion by Councilman Boido, seconded by Councilma~ Tibbetts and regularly carried the authority was granted. Tentative plans of proposed street work ~nto Acacia Park ~?rom Miller Avenue, inclu[ .sidewalks, yards, gutters,grading~ pavement, etc,etc, were shown the City Council and Archi~ Exclusive of lighting equipment, etc, for the proposed center the amount stated as cost was in the neighborhood of ~21,000. There being no further business Councilman Ratto moved to adjourn until Monday eve~ July 18,1938,at 8 o'clock P.M. The motion was seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly Time of adjournment, 9 O'clock P.~. carried. Approved ~ayor of South San Francisco. Respectfully submitted,
