A regularly adjourncd meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall,Tuesday evening, October !8,!938. This meeting was called to order at eight V;30 : P.M. by Mayor A.J.Eschelbach. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following members of the City Council o resent, Councilmen, V.Boido , AoJ.Eschelbach, M.Minucciani, ~ Rod Tibbetts. Absent, Councilmen, D.W.Ratto The reading of the minutes of the previous meetings was dispensed with. by days work, Councilman Tibbetts inquired of the city attorney whether the city could,build the prote tions on the banks of the Colma Creek channels. The City Attorney stated the city could not. Thereupon Councilman Minucciant introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City South San Francisco ordering the protection of the bsnks of the maintenance channels of Colma Creek. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the City Council presen as follows;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido,M.Minucciani, Rod Tt~betts. Resolution N0o699 Noes, Councilmen, None. Absent, Councilmen,~.W.Ratto. Attest Daniel NcSweeney. City Clerk. Recorded in Book of Resolutions,,Vol.3,at pages ~0~ and M03. Bids for the work will be opened Monday, October 31,1938, at 8 o'clock p.m. Engineer Klassen read transcripts from his statements before Dr Geiger and the CitY~ Bos of health in the matter of the effluent from the hog ranches which it was proposed to pump in the Pacific, showing that he was quoted incorrectly in the matter and wished to correct the missstatement. Accepted by the City Council. CouncilmSn Boido said the police 0uick and motorcyle were in need of replacing or repai~ He proposed that the city purchase a Buick .. ...... for the regular force o~ police and one fo State highway for patrol duty. There befn~ no ob.fect!ous the city attorney was instructed to up specifications for bid§ to be called for.. Chief of ~olice Belloni reported the cluster light at Orange Avenue and the Street car company's tracks burning, but no light inside the waiting station. It was not considered neceasary to ba~e the light inside also. The Chief reported that the Socied Mutualista Mexicana, Morelos ,Inc. held school two evenings a week at 31~ Baden Avenue, on which nights beer is sold. But beer is sold the other nights of the week. The chief also reported that dog bit at a man in the bsll park last week snd tore a part of his pants off. The chief was i cted to get busy in the pound department of the city and see what could be done to improve conditions. The city clerk was instructed to procure a minute book for the City Planning commission have it ready for the adjourned meeting of the council and a meeting of the commission on evening, October ~4,1938,and notify all the members of the commission to be on hand and organ There being no further business before the board Councilman Boido mo~.~ed to adjourn unt ~ionday evening, October ~,1938, at V;30 o'clock P.~.
