A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall, Tuesday evening;', April 18th,1959. This meeting was called to order at ~ o'clock p.m. by Nayor A.J.Eschelbach. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following members of the council present,- Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach and ~i.~inuccisni. Absent, Councilmen, D.W.P~atto and Rod Tibbetts. Council~an 2.~inuccian~ introduced a ~esolution of Intention to abate weeds in the City_ of South San Francisco. The resolution was passed and ~dopted by the followin? vote;- Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, N.i~ii~cciani. Noes, Councilmen,None. Absent, Councilmen Tibbetts and D.W.Ratto. Councilman I¢~inucciani introduced a resolution of the City Council of tLe City of South San Francisco calling uDon Representative Jack X.Anderson of th Eighth Congressional District to ur~:e the adootion of such legislation as will make possible such appropriations a~~ will be neceasary to fanance all projects which have received the approval of Public Works Administration. Councilman Yo~do introducem an ordinance of the City Council of the Citw- of South San Francisco amending~ section NO.3 of Ordinance No.166 reg_utattng and relating to the erection, construction and maintenance of Billboards, advertising: boards and sign~ in the City of South San Francisco. The Ordinance had its f~rst reading and was laid over to come up unSer the regular order of business at t~e next regular meeting of the city council. Under the hes~ of new business Councilman Ooidootst~e re~,~ardin~, the sewers in auto ' camps th~ere ~peared to be b~]t one not connected. Znspector ~'~elte statec the sewers are inspected every two weeks. In t'-e matter of the V~estern "~reck~n~. and Salvable co's application for a l~.cen~e to open s plant near Round. Inspector ~elte 6few the cit> council's attention to the fact that the ~02~. additional alteration to old structures in the fire zone was a fire hazard, and tLe ordinance sho~ld be amended elimination th~ words "BUILT UPON".Le stated this had given ti'e ownere of old buildin!~s per miss.~.on to keep .continually adding small wooden additions to the main structure, always increasing the fire hazard. 1he C.ity attorney was instructed to draw up the neoe~sary amendment.
