A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall Monday evening, June 12,1939. Roll Call. Roll call found the following members of the council present, as follows;- Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, D.W.Ratto, Rod Tlbbetts. Absent, Councilman M.Minucciani. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. A communication was received from Rhine Fakkema, 125 Braden Avenue, Peck's Lots, South by.the blasting of Macco company, San Francisco, stating that $100 damages was sustained by his dwelling~ and requested the city to communicate the fact to the Travelers Indemnity Company. The city clerk was instructed to notify the indemnity company. Notice~ was received from the library board t~tthe terms of trustees Clifford and Bartlett will expire June 30th~1939. Nayor Eschelbach selected the incumbents, Mre.'~. Bartlett and Miss Rue Clifford to succeed themselves, for the three year term. Moved by Council- man B0ido , seconded by Councilman Tibbetts that the appointments be made. The motion was carried by the votes of ~11 the members of the city council present,aS follows;- Ayes, Councilman V.Boido,A.J.Eschelbach, D.W.Ratto, Rod Tibbetts. N~es, Councilmen, None. AbSent, Councilman Minucclani. RESOLUTION OF ABAND0~MENT BY MARKET STREET RAILWAY,COMPANY. Councilma~ Boido introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City of South San · zancisco accepting the abandonment and surrender by the ~arket Street Railway Company. of'all franchises and priv&l~ges granted to ,. South San Francisco Railroad an~ Power Company by the Board of Trustees of the C~ty of South 8an Francisco under ordinance No.66, on April 21,1915, and ordinance No,85, on ~eptember ?,1915. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the City Council present, ss follows;- Ayes, Councilman, V.~otdo,A.J.Eechelbach,D.W.Ratto,Rod Tlbbetts. Noes, Councilmen,None. The claims having been audited by the finance Committee C~uncllman Ratto moved they be paid. The motion was seconded by councAlman Tibbetts and regularly carried. The ~City attorney submitted ~ep~®s~f the proposed amendment to the business license ordinance for the councilmen's inspection and consideration. There being no f~rther business before the board Councilman Tibbetts moved to adjourn, The motion was seconded by Councilman Boldo and regularly carried.
