1. Called to Order: 7:02 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Present: Councilmembers Addiego, Gupta and
Normandy, Vice Mayor Garbarino, and
Mayor Matsumoto.
Absent: None.
3. Post Colors.
Colors were honorably and duly posted by members of the South San Francisco Police
Department.
4. Pledge of Allegiance. Led by Susan Freeman.
5. Introduction of Elected Officials.
Mayor Matsumoto introduced the elected officials and/or their representatives that were in
attendance at the meeting.
6. Public Comments - comments were limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda.
None.
7. Reorganization of the City Council.
Mayor Matsumoto declared the purpose of the meeting was to reorganize the South San
Francisco City Council.
a. Remarks of Outgoing Mayor
Mayor Matsumoto delivered outgoing remarks.
b. Nominations for Mayor; close of nominations; appointment
Motion—Councilman Addiego/Second—Councilman Gupta: to nominate and appoint Hon.
Rich Garbarino to serve as Mayor of the City of South San Francisco. Unanimously approved by
Roll Call vote.
c. Nominations for Vice Mayor; close of nominations; appointment
Motion—Councilwoman Matsumoto/Second—Councilwoman Normandy: to nominate and
appoint Hon. Mark Addiego to serve as Vice Mayor of the City of South San Francisco.
Unanimously approved by Roll Call vote.
d. Oaths of Office administered to incoming Mayor and Vice Mayor.
Oaths of Office were administered as follows:

Hon. Vice Mayor Mark Addiego Hon. Eugene Mullin

Mayor Garbarino delivered remarks.
8. Presentation to Outgoing Mayor.
Councilman Matsumoto was presented with gifts from the Council.
9. Adjournment.
Being no further business, Mayor Garbarino adjourned the meeting at 7:46 P.M.
