Present: Councilmen G. W. Holston,.Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio
Cortesi.
The meeting was calied to order by Mayor Ferko at 8:00 p.m.
Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
It was reguiarly mqved, seconded and carried that the ~lection returns of the General
MuniciDal Election, held ApriI13-19d8, be canvassed.
Councilman Holston introduced a resolution of the. City of South San Francisco, canvassing
returns and declaring the results of the General?unicipal Election held April 13, 19~8
as follows:

Councilman Holston moved for the adoption of this resolution, Councilman Sani
seconded the motion and same was carried unanimously.
City Olerk then swore in Emilio Cor~esi, Charles K. Elder, and Victor Boido as
Councilmen and Edward P. Kauffmann as City Treasurer. The re-elected Councilmen,
Emilio Cortesi and Chas. K. Elder, resumed their seats and newly elected Councilman,
Victo~oido, resumed the seat vacated by outgoing Councilman George W. Holston.. Out-
going Councilman Holston expresse~is appreciation for the support given him at the
recent election,and stated that he would be willing to give his aid at any time for
the betterment of the C~ty.
Councilman Cortesi moved, seconded by Councilman ~ani that Leo~ Ferko be appointed Mayor.
This motion was regularly carried. The newly elected Councilmen, City Clerk and
Treasurer gave short talks on their intentions for the coming four years. Mayor Ferko
also expressed his appreciation in being appointed ~YOr for another term.

On motion of Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Elder, and regularly carried,
the meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, April 27, 19~8 at 7:30 p.m.

Councilman Holstonintroduced a resolution of the. City of South San Francisco, canvassing
returns and declaring the results of the General.Municipal Election held April 13, 19&8
