Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco Absent: Councilman Emilio Cortesi. CALL TO ORDER: MINUTES: The meeting was called to order at 4:lSp.m.by I,'~yor Sani. City Clerk having forwarded copy of the minutes of the meeting of September 5, 1950 to all councilmen, Mayor Sani asked if there were any errors or omissions. There being none, the minutes were approved as submitted. RESOLUTION NO. 1577 PLANS AND SPECIFICA- TIONS--S~fAGE TREAT- M~T PLANT: Councilman Elder introduced a resolution adopting plans and specificstions for the construction of a sewage treatment plant and all other structures necessary for a com- plete sewa_~e disposal system for the cityof South San Francisco. This resol~tion was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. This motion was regularly carried. Title of resolution was read--"A R~OLUTION ORDERING T~E CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND ALL OTHER STRUCTURES NEC~SARY FOR A COMPLETE SEWAGE DISPCSAL PLANT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO". This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of 'the council present. ORDINANCE NO. 303 MISSION GARDENS: An ordinance of the city of South San Francisco approving the annexation of Mission Gardens to t?~e city, which was introduced July 17, 1950, came up for adoption. This ordinance was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco; Noes, Councilmen, None; Absent, Councilman Fmilio Cortesi. DALY SUBDIVISION FINAL ~P: The final map of the Daly Subdivision was presented. Councilman Elder moved, seconded by Councilman Bracco, that the final map of the Daly Subdivision be accepted, subject to the approval of the ~%~orks Engineer and the filing of the necessary bond. Council- man Cortesi arrived at 4:35 p. m. and voted on this motion. This motion was regularly carried. S~GE DISPOSAL PLANT MEETING: City Attorney Lyons stated he had discussed with Attorney R~psey of San Bruno the 1947 a~reement entered into between the two cities on the sewage disposal plant. This agreement called for construction costs on a 50-50 basis, and the city of San Bruno felt it should, be based on the present population. Attorney Rapsey suggested that the City Manager, the two city attorneys, and the two engineers meet so that this matter could be discussed. City Ymnager Larwood was of the opinion t~e councils should be in on this meeting. After some discussion, it was decided to accept City Attorney Rapsey's suggestion, and after the matter is taken up by the attorneys and engineers, they would in turn meet with the two councils. LIBRARY BOARD APPOINTMENT: ~ayor Sani submitted the name of Mrs. ~enore A. Varni for appointment to the vacancy on the Library Board. Councilman Eld!er moved, seconded by Councilman Bracco, that the appointment as submitted by R~yor Sani be confirmed. This motion was regularly carried. CITY MANAGER VACATION: City Manager Larwood requested one week's leave of absence without pay in addition to one week's vacation, starting September 18th. It was regularly moved, seconded, and carried, that City Manager Larwood be Eranted an additional weeks' leave without pay. ADJOLq~NM!NT: On motion of Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Bracco, and regularly carried, the meeting was adjourned to Monday Evening, September 18th at 8 p. m.
