PARKING t.~TERS: ADJOURNMENT: ADJOURNED MEETING OF ~{E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD $~DNESDAY, JUNE 6, 1951 Council Chambers, City Hall 4:30 p. m. Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi Absent: Councilman Joseph Bracco The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p. m. by Mayor Sani. The readin~ of the minutes was dispensed with. Councilman Elder introduced a resolution declaring the city's intention to con- stm~ct a sanitary sewer from Cortez Avenue to Alta Vista Drive. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. Resolution from the Board of Supervisors and recommendation from the San Mateo County Department of Public Health & %Jelfare, with reference to the construction of a sanitary sewer from Cortez Avenue to Alta Vista Drive, were received and placed on file. Communication was received from Brentwood Company requesting permission to con- duct a kiddie circus in the Brentwood tract from June 14th to June 25, 1951. Motion was ~ade by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, that permission be granted the Brentwood Company to hold ?~iddie circus a~ requested. Application for a business license for an auto repair, shop at 511 Bayshore High- way was submitted by George Bliss & George Montkillier. Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, that license be granted, subject to the approval of the Fire Chief and Building Inspector. Communication was received from the State Board of ~Equalization ad%~sing that off-sale general license had been granted to Joseph & Lawrence ~. Eertolucci, 142 Hazelwood Drive. This communication was ordered filed. The Chief of Poi_ice advised that he had investigated the proposal of the E~siness Men's Association to pay for parking citations within the hour for 5~. He stated no other cities were using this method and recommended that no change be made in the payment of traffic tickets covering parking violations. Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regulsrly carried, that the reconm~endation of the Chief of Police be accepted and a letter be sent to the Business Men's Association to this effect. On motion of Councilman E2dcr, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly car- ried, the meeting was adjourned to June 18, 1951 at 8 p. m. Time of Adjournment - 4:50 p. m.
