MOR~NO: BUILDING PERMIT 'NATIONAL CARBON CO: CALIFORNIA GOLF CLUB ~ING: LIONS CLUB BARBECUE: ADJOURNMENT: ADJOURNE~MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUT~ SAN FRANCISCO HELD THURSDAY, SEPT~2~BER 20, 1951 Council Ch~bers, City Hall 4p.m. The meeting was called to order at 4.'20 p. m. by Mayor Sani. Present: Councilman Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani Absent: Councilman Joseph Bracco, Emilio Cortesi The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. Councilman Elder introduced a resolution designating Hickey Boulevard, heretofore known as Junipero Boulevard E~tension. This resolution was adopted by the unan- imous vote of all members of the council present. Councilman Boido introduced a resolution accepting deed from Antonio M. Moreno. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. Nello Certiberi, Asst. Building Inspector, appeared before the City Council an~ advised that National Carbon Company contemplated building a factory on Tanforan Avenue at an approximate cost of $200,000 and that a letter, together with plans, would be submitted for the next regular meeting. Motion was made, seconded and regularly carried, that National Carbon Company be granted a permit to build, provided plans and specifications are properly submitted and that same meet all building and fire codes. The clerk advised the council that no representative of the California Golf Club would be present at the meetin~ set for today, but had requested ~uother date. Monday, September 24, 1951, at 4:30 p. m. was again set for a meeting. A communication was received from the Lions Club inviting the City Council to the annual barbecue luncheon, Tuesday noon, September 25, 1951, at Emilio Cortesi's home, 700 Holly Avenue. Mayor Sani asked the council to take note of the date and file the communication. On motion by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, the meeting was adjourned to Monday, September 2~, 1951 at 4:00 p. m. Time of Adjournment - 4:35 p. m.
