The meeting was called to order at 4:45 p. m. by Mayor Cortesi. Present: Absent: Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith None City Clerk having forwarded copy of the minutes of the previous meeting to all councilmen, Mayor Cortesi asked if there were any errors or omissions. ~ There being none, the minutes were approved as submitted. against the city for flood damage were presented as follows: San Francisco Drive In Theatres Trans-CaliforniaTheatres Mr. &Mrs. Joseph Van Ark&l $150,000.00 25,000.00 4,834.05 Motionwas made by Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Smith and regularly carried, that claims be denied. Arco Building Co. and San Mateo County Sheriff's Posse Club presented a petition for annexation of certain unimbabited territory next to Southwood. Mr. Lloyd Cosgrove was present and explained the amount of acreage which would be included under the annexation. As more time was needed to study the matter, same was held over. Councilman Sani introduced a resolution amending resolution ~1746, an order pro- viding for the issuance of street improvement bonds, prescribing the denomination of such bonds, and the interest coupons attached. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council. Luther Berry, George Goerg, and Wm. Adasiewicz appeared before the council and spoke regarding the assessment against their property. The matter was also dis- cussed regarding the fact that Kenneth Stiremau and Burdette Stolp claimed they were not notified that the sewer was to pass through their property, and that they would contest the city's right to go through their property. In this con- nectiou, Councilman Bracco moved, seconded by Councilman Saui and regularly carried, ~hat condemnation proceedings be c~mnenced against Stiremau and Stolp. City Attorney was instructed to cummeuce proceedings. After the matter was fully explained to Mr. Berry, Mr. Goerg, and Mr. Adasiewtcz, Councilman Bracco introduced a resolution confirming assessment for the improvement work performea under Resolution of Intention No. 1666, adopted by the city council on June 6, 1951. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council. On motion of Councilman Bracco, seconded by Councilman Sani and regularly carried, the meeting was adjourned toMay 5, 1952 at 8 p. m. Time of Adjournment 6:15 p. m. Respectfully submitted, DANIEL J.
