The next i~m was in regard to the al~in~nt of R. E. Ke~, Public Works Inspector for
industrial ~r inspection. Public Wor~ Director rec~uded that ~efer be appointed at
a se~ of $~50.00 per month plus $1.O0 per day allowance fo~ the use of his ear. City
Manager ~lung concurred in t~e reecm~tio~ of Go~s. Councilman Noonan moved, seconded
by Councilman Lucchio and regularly carried, that R. E. ~ be so employed.
The ne~t item wu the matter of the Sl~A'J & Hutchinson spur track, the carrying out of
prior coemeil action. City Attorney Lyons ~sted that' in ~ of the fact that the matter
had yet to go before the Pmblie Utilities O~mm~ission, he would fecund that the conditions
be specified in a formal resolution and a certified copy of same Be forwarded to them, also
that bo~h ~perry & Nntehinson a~ Bo~thern Pacific Co. agree in writing, these a~uts to
be on file in the 0ity Olerk's Office. Councilman Cort~si asked the council to reconsider
the matter since he did not like to ~o alon~ with anything that w~mld be hazardoms to the
public and wo~ld therefore vote mo. City Attorney Lyous sai~ ~he eomnmil should instruct him
to lr~ & resolution for the next meeting. ~e said mince the eonmcil has already acted
on the matter it would m~rely reduce it to a form of a written reoolution the terms of the
oral motion and that the Clerk be in, trusted to ~end & certifie~ eopy to the Publie Utilities
