Discussion ~kso +~o~k ~e ccncernin~ the l~eesent method of i~gress and egress now, and what
it formerly ~. n_so memtic~ed was t~e method by ~hich an entrance comld be affected;
Director of pm~lic Works Go~s e~l,~,~ that the City could eui~ait a sketch to the State
reSarding ~s, Stain an encroa~lmaent permit, and ha~e the w~rk done with Ci~ fends. No Stat~
fends womld be available for this work.
After farther discussion, concernin~ the loCation of th~~~, Council member Smith moved,
that the ree~mmez~iation of the Plamnin~ C~i~ Be ac~.~.~ smbJect to the. building having
a set Back t~' conform with other s~-ue~mre~ alon~ E1 Cortez and ali~nlng with E1 Cortez.
After brief 4teamssion, Co~cil meddler Smith withdrew his motion and moved that the rec~nda-
tion of the 2La~ning Commission be accepted and that the~e Be smffficient set back to clear any
possible pro~ction on E1 Cortez Avenue.

Comncil mae~ber Smith then moved, seconded by the Vice May~r GamLen, amd r~ly carried,
that the motion be tabled until t~e next meet~ of Am~n~$ 1, 1~5.
Council memi~p ~aith then stated that should any ursency be necessary in t~e mat~er that a
Specis/ Meeting be cai.led.
City Manager M~Clung ~s t_hen instructed to notify evex-yone concerned regarding this matter.
There being no further business, Council ~r Smith moved, secom~e~ by Oomnc ~-i~nan Lucchio, and
regularly c~, that the meeting be ad~o~m-aed until A~t 1, 195~.
