HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1959-03-30ADJOURNED REGULAR REETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD RONDAY, MARCH 30, 1959 TIRE: PLACE: CALL TO ORDER: ROLL CALL: ENGINEERING FIRR FOR SMALL CRAFT HARBOR: SELECTION OF JOHN BLUME & ASSOCIATES: ADJOURNRENT: 7:30 p.m. Council Chambers, City Hall Rayor Rozzi called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m. Present: Abser,t: Councilmen Andrew Rocca~ Leo Ryan, Patrick Ahern, Emilio Cortesi and G. J. Rozzi. None Rayor Rozzi announced that the purpose of the adjourned meeting was for the selection of a firm to do the work of engineering planning for the Small Craft Harbor. Discussion followed between members of the City Council and the representative from Blume & Associates concerning the location of thenr Bay Area office (main office - 612 Howard Street, San Francisco), the ~vailability of their staff to the City, and the limits of the cost to have the work performed. AfTer discussion, at the request of Council, City Ranager Aiello stated thac the motion could be as follows: "Move that John Blume & Associates be selected as the firm with whom the City shall negotiate for the prep- arc,ion of a comprehensive plan for the establishment and construction of a shall boat harbor for South San Francisco, provided that said contract shall contain all elements necessary for a comprehensive plan and at a fee ~ot to exceed $10~000.00." Councilman Ahern then moved, seconded by Councilman Cortesi and regularly carried~ that the firm of John Blume & Associates be selected with the conditions expressed by the City Ranager. There being nothing further~ Councilman Ryan moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, that the meeting be adjourned to April 6, 1959, at 8 TiKe of adjournment - 7:55 p.m. RESPECTFULLY SUBRITTED~ City
