HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1971-05-25¸82 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 1971, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, California. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items: I. Rotary Blaza - Consider the request regarding landscape maintenance bond. Date: Instruct the City Attorney regarding the acquisition of a parcel of land adjacent to Colma Creek. The Council will adjourn to an executive session for the purpose of so instructing the City Attorney. PLACE:_ ROLL CALL: ROTARY PLAZA MAINTENANCE BOND - LANDSCAPING: ADJOURNMENT TO EXECUTIVE SESSION~FOR INSTRUCTIONS RE: ACQUISITION OF LAND: RECALl. TO ORDER: PROPOSED MEETING WITH BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND COUNCIL: 5:00 p.m. Council Chambers, City Hall. Present: Absent: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahern, Frank J. Bertucelli, F. Frank Mammini and William A. Borba. Councilman Warren Steinkamp. The first item for Council's consideration concerned the matter of Rotary Plaza to consider the request regarding the Landscape Maintenance Bond. City Attorney Noonan reported that the contractor had been contacted concerning this matter in an effort to name the City in their original bond and that since this could not be done, a request was made for an alter~te. Mr. Noonan stated that he had received a call that the contractor would be in a position to furnish the City with an individual bond for landscaping and that there is no need for any Council action in this regard. Mayor Borba at this time adjourned the meeting to an exeCutive session to instruct the City Attorney regarding the acquisition of a parcel of land adjacent to Colma Creek. Time of adjournment: 5:06 p.m. The meeting was recalled to order by Mayor Borba at 5:36 p.m. at which time he stated that the City Attorney had been instructed to negotiate for the acquisition of two parcels of land at the price instructed and return same for ratification. City Manager Dreisbach at this time brought to the attention of the City Council a request he had received from the County Board of Supervisors for a joint meeting with the City Council. The date for the meeting was to be set after the next regular meeting of the City Councl of June 7, 1971. There being nothing further, Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Ahern and regularly carried, that the meeting be adjourned.
