HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1975-05-28267 ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD WEDNESDAY, MAY 28 , 1975 TIME: PLACE: CALL TO ORDER: ROLL CALL: RESO. NO. 62-75 CALLING BIDS - ORANGE PARK BLEACHERS RADAR EQUIPMENT - MARINA BOAT RECESS: 7:30 PM. West Orange Avenue Library Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Battaglia at 7:44 PM. Present: Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini, Terry J. Mirri and Warren Steinkamp. Absent: Councilman Leo Padreddii. Staff Report, dated May 21, 1975, recommending Council approve the plans and specifications for the installation of new bleachers at Orange Park softball field and authorize the call for bids. Councilman Padreddii appeared present at 7:45 PM and remained for the duration of the meeting. After a brief explanation by the City Manager regarding the Orange Avenue Park bleachers, Councilman Steinkamp introduced a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECI- FICATIONS, AUTHORIZING THE WORK AND CALLING BIDS FOR THE INSTALLA- TION OF BLEACHERS AT ORANGE PARK. Roll Call Vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini, Terry J. Mirri, Warren Steinkamp. Noes, none. Absent, none. Abstaining, Councilmen Leo Padr~ddii. The City Manager explained the next item which would authorize him to sign for a $4,100.00 grant to install radar equipment on the Marina boat. Councilman Steinkamp moved, seconded by Councilman Padreddii and regularly carried that the City Manager be allowed to sign a grant for funds to install radar equipment on the Marina boat. At the request of the City Manager the Mayor recessed the meeting at 7:50 PM to an Executive Personnel Session. 268 RECALL TO ORDER: CONSTITUENTS DAY - PAPPAN & MOSCONE ADJOURNMENT The meeting was recalled to order by Mayor Battaglia at 8:29 PM with all Council present. Mayor Battaglia stated that the Executive Session was to discuss labor negotiations only for information purposes with no action being taken. Mayor Battaglia then announced that on Saturday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon at the City Hall, Assemblyman Pappan and Senator Moscone would be holding a Constituents Day. He extended an invitation to the public to attend. Councilman Steinkamp then moved, seconded by Councilman Padreddii and regularly carried that the meeting be adjourned.
