HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1975-10-29AMENDED NOTICEOFSPECIAL MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 1975 at 7:00 PM in the Council Conference Room, City Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, CA. Purpose of meeting: Court Fence. Dated: October 28, 1975 Determine Height of Proposed Baldwin Hills B City of South San Francisco SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1975 TIME: 7:00 PM. PLACE Council Conference Room, City Hall. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Battagia at 7:05 PM. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini, Terry J. Mirri, Leo Padreddii and Warren Steinkamp. Absent: None. RESO. NO. 166-75 BALDWIN HILLS The City Manager briefly commented that Council had before CT. FENCING PROJECT - them for consideration a resolution concerning the height HEIGHT of the fence to be constructed on Baldwin Hills Court. The City Attorney then in detail explained the resolution relative to the height and construction of the fence as well as the purpose it was to serve. Discussion then followed between the City Council and Staff. Councilman Mammini stated that the ordinance presently requires only a 6-foot fence and that the City should also abide by this rather than set a precedent. Further discussion followed at which time the Director of Public Services explained the reasons for the recommended 8-foot fence but that the City could install only a 6-foot fence if CoUncil so desired. RESO. NO. 166-75 BALDWIN HILLS CT. FENCING PROJECT - HEIGHT ADJOURNMENT Councilman Mammini recommended the installation of a 6-foot fence and if a problem arises then add a 45-degree angle at that time. The City Attorney then explained the changes in the resolution in accordance with the City Council's direction. Discussion then followed concerning other changes. Councilman Mammini then introduced a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION REGARDING LOCATION AND HEIGHT OF FENCE ON CITY PROPERTY ADJACENT TO THE NORTHERLY BOUNDARY OF WESTBOROUGH JUNIOR HrGH SCHOOL SITE. Roll Call Vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini, Terry J. Mirri, Leo Padreddii and Warren Steinkamp. Noes, none. Absent, none.
