ROLL CALL: RECESS:. RECALL TO ORDER: 6:00 PM. West Orange Avenue Library Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Padreddii at 6:15 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. Present: Councilmen Leo Padreddii, Emanuele N. Damonte, William A. Borba, Terry J. Mirri and Richard A. Battaglia. Absent: None. The Chief of Police in detail through the use of slides gave a statistical presentation on the increase in crimes and the per capita expenditures in this regard. The City Council discussed the Police Department budget making certain deletions, modifications or allowing items to remain. Ail deletions, modifications or allowances as made are attached herewith incorporated herein and made a part of these minutes. Discussed were: Police generated revenues Inter-department transfers Personnel costs Property Clerk Conferences and meetings Community relations Mayor Padreddii declared a recess at 7:20 PM for the retaping of the television cameras. The meeting was recalled to order at 7:35 PM with all council present. 116o Continuing Council discussed the following: Training Of fi cer Steno-Clerk vacancy Deletion of 1 Police Officer position Overtime Secretary to Police Chief Elimination of motorcycles in Traffic Section RECESS: The Mayor declared a recess at 8:05 PM for the retaping of the television cameras. RECALL TO ORDER: The meeting was recalled to order at 8:17 PM with all Council present. Continuing Council discussed: Post funded conferences Federal funded programs for research development RECESS: Mayor Padreddii declared a recess at 9:52 PM for the retaping of the television cameras. RECALL TO ORDER: The meeting was recalled to order at 10:02 PM with all Council members present. Further discussion followed. RECESS: The Mayor declared a recess to an Executive Personnel session at 10:14 PM. RECALL TO ORDER The meeting was recalled to order at 10:27 PM. Mayor Padreddii requested that the record show that the purpose of the Executive Personnel session was to discuss a personnel matter with no action or roll call vote taken.
