HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1976-12-28NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GiVEN, pursuant to the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, December 28, 1976, at 5:00 PM in the Council Conference Room, City Hall', 400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California. The purpose of the meeting is to receive recommendations from staff regarding a Workers' Compensation Self Insurance Program, and, if approved, to authorize necessary acts to institute the program for the City of South San Francisco. City Hall Conference Room. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Padreddii at 5:07 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. Present: Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, Emanuele N. Damonte, Terry J. Mirri and Leo Padreddii. Absent: Councilman William A. Borba The Acting City Manager, from his Staff Report dated December 28, 1976, in detail explained the Self Insurance Plan, the short rate cancelation on the present insurance, and the savings to the City. He recommended that the City Manager be authorized to execute the contract with R. L. Kautz and Company. He remarked that Mr. Don Hall was present to answer any questions. The Acting Finance Director then explained the reasons why the firm of R. L. Kautz and Company was selected. Discussion then followed between the members of the City Council, staff and Mr. Don Hall, after which Councilman Battaglia moved, seconded by Councilman Damonte and regularly carried that the recommendation Of staff be accepted. ADJOURNMENT f doO .There being nothing further to come before Council, Councilman Damonte moved, seconded by Councilman Battaglia and regularly carried that the meeting be adjourned.
