NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Government Code of the State
of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold
a Special Meeting on Monday, September 12, 1977, at 5:00 PM in the Council
Conference Room, City Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California.
Dated: September 9, 1977
The purpose of meeting is to approve the Joint Powers Agreement on the

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Damonte at
5:05 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
Present: Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, William A. Borba,
Emanuele N. Damonte and Leo Padreddii.
Absent: Councilman Terry J. Mirri.
The Director of Public Services distributed copies of the
Joint Powers Agreement, after which a brief explanation
was made by both the Director of Public Services and the
City Attorney.
Councilman Padreddii then introduced a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION, OWNERSHIP, OPERATION AND USE
OF WASTEWATER FACILITIES (PROJECTS C-06-1235 AND
C-06-1267).
Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Richard A.
Battaglia, William A. Borba, Emanuele N. Damonte and
Leo Padreddii. Noes, none. Absent, Councilman Terry J.
Mirri.

Further discussion followed at which time the City Manager
and Director of Public Services explained the need for a
Special Meeting in order to obtain funds to which staff
was alerted about only on Thursday, September 8, 1977.
In answer to Mayor Damonte's inquiry, the Director of
Public Services brought Council up to date on the
progress of the repair to the sewer line under the
Bayshore Freeway.
There being nothing further to come before Council,
Councilman Padreddii moved, seconded by Councilman Borba
and regularly carried that the meeting be adjourned.
Time of adjournment was 5:17 PM.
