the adoption of two Resolutions
that would supersede Resolution
No. 114-80, adopted September 27,
1980, for the award of bid for
the automated data processing
equipment for the Police Department.

THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTH-
ORIZING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH
IBM CORPORATION TO PROVIDE FOR EX-
PANSION OF AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING
SYSTEM

Council present: Nicolopulos, Addiego
and Acosta.
Council absent: Teglia and Damonte.
Recited.
Mayor Acosta stated that the absent
Councilmembers had been excused due
to prior commitments.
City Manager Birkelo stated that this
request was being made on the advice
of the City Attorney. He continued,
that the first Resolution would re-
scind Resolution No. 114-80 and the
bid of IBM is determined to be the
lowest responsible bid and the bid
award of August 11, 1980 is hereby
modified to a total of $37,286.56.
He stated that the second Resolution
would authorize the City Manager to
enter into an agreement with IBM to
expand the memory capacity of the
automated Data Processing System for
a cost of $2756; and the City Manager
is authorized to enter into a contract
with IBM to proVide for the base sys-
tem acquisition and the expansion for
a price not to exceed $40,042.56.
A discussion followed on bid specifi-
cations, the bid award process, main-
tenance contracts, liability, etc.
Motion by Nicolopulos - To adopt the
Resolution that rescinds Resolution
No. 114-80
