Staff Report 6/17/81 recommending
by Motion to authorize the Purchas-
ing Officer to accept the offer for
$4,000 by Keybrook Bus. Systems for
the purchase of Qantel computer -
continued from 6/18/81.

Resolution.
RESOLUTION NO. 69-81
Carried by unanimous voice vote.
City Manager Birkelo explained the Staff
Report indicated that an offer from
Keybrook Business Systems to purchase
the Qantel computer had been received,
however, subsequent to the preparation
of the Staff Report an offer had been
received in the amount of $5,000 from
Northern California Business Computers,
Inc. He stated that he had discussed
the matter with the Acting City Attorney
and also with the two companies sub-
mitting bids, they agreed the procedure
was acceptable and that they be allowed
until June 19, 1981, at 3:00 p.m., to
submit alternate proposals if they wished,
and the City then accept the best offer.
He continued that the offers were only
good through Friday and recommended
that Council authorize the City Manager
to accept the best offer made for the
computer by 3:00 p.m., June 19, 1981.

amounts of the bids, the procedures,
etc.
M/S Teglia/Acosta - To authorize the
City Manager To accept the best offer
on June 19, 1981, at 3:00 p.m., for the
purchase of the Qantel computer.
Carried by unanimous voice vote.
ITEMS FROM COUNCIL
Requested water with ice be available
for Council at meetings in the MSB
and that coffee be available for the
citizens.
That a finish be put on the Council
dias to protect the finish, that the
table be so the members are able
to view each other.
Discussion followed on the problems
which had come to Council's attention
from the various departments and the
time needed to address these problems;
that the problem of the public address
system at the Municipal Services
Building be taken care with respect
to the Cable television transmission.

meeting be adjourned.
