Damonte Gus Nicolopulos MINUTES City Council City Council Conference Room City Hal 1 February 6, 1985 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, the 6th day of February, 1985, at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Conference Room, City Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California. Purpose of the meeting: Consideration and decision regarding the procedure to be followed in con- ducting the Public Hearing on February 13, 1985, related to the Site Speci¢ic Amendment to the Agreement with Respect to the San Bruno Mountain Area Habitat Conservation Plan. Dated: Closed Session for the purpose of the discussion of personnel matters, labor relations and litigation. February 5, 1985 City of South San AGENDA SPECIAL MEETING CALL TO ORDER: ROLL CALL: (Cassette No. 1) Consideration and decision regard- ing the procedure to be followed in conducting ~he Public Hearing on February 13, 1985, related to Site Specific Amendment to the Agreement with Respect to the San Bruno Mountain Area Habitat Conservation Plan. ~~} ACTION TAKEN SPECIAL MEETING 5:35 p.m. Mayor Haffey presiding. Council present: Council absent: Nicolopulos, Addlego, Teglia and Damonte and Haffey. None Mayor Haffey stated that he had asked that this Special Meeting be noticed because he had been informed late yester- day afternoon that one Councilmember would not be in attendance on February 13, 1985, in regard to this important and special meeting. He continued, it was his feeling that this is such an impor- tant public hearing and there had been so much public interest in this, he felt that all five members should be present. He stated that he was disappointed because the full Council did take 2/6/85 Page 1 AGENDA ACTION TAKEN Consideration and decision regard- ing the procedure to be followed in conducting the Public Hearing on February 13, 1985, related to the Site Specific Amendment to the Agreement with Respect to the San Bruno Mountain Area Habitat Conservation Plan - Continued. CLOSED SESSION Closed Session for the purpose of discussion of personnel matters, labor relations and litigation. ADJOURNMENT: unanimous action at the first meeting in January to publicly notice this public hearing and at no time did any member of the Council indicate that they had any other plans. He stated that he wanted to extend the courtesy to all members of the Council to have an opportunity to vote on this very important matter and suggested that the Council accept input on February 13, 1985, but that the Council delay action on the matter until February 27, 1985 meeting, as Mr. Nicolopulos will be on vacation and will have an opportunity to listen to the tapes and be prepared to vote with the rest on February 27, 1985. Councilman Nicolopulos apologized for having forgotten his vacation plans made three months earlier, and formally requested permission of the Council to be on vacation during the week of February 13. 1985. Mayor Haffey stated that the Council would not deny the request and questioned if the rest of Council felt it important that the full Council vote on this matter. Councilman Addiego stated that he remem- bered a County Supervisor who could not make one of the hearings on this issue,' Consensus of Council - To delay action on this matter until the February 1985, regular meeting. CLOSED SESSION Mayor Haffey stated that a Closed would not be held this evening. M/S Teglia/Addiego - To adjourn the meeting. Carried by unanimous voice vote.
