City Manager requested that the

in the Countywide Narcotics Task
Force.

Recognition Program.

ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
5:33 p.m. Mayor Haffey presiding.
Council present: Nicolopulos, Addiego,
and Haffey
Council absent: Teglia and Damonte.
Councilman Damonte had announced at a
prior meeting that he would be on vaca-
tion in Mexico and would not be able to
attend this meeting.
AGENDA REVIEW
So ordered.
CLOSED SESSION
Council adjourned to a Closed Session at
5:34 p.m. to discuss the items noticed.
Vice Mayor Teglia arrived at 5:38 p.m.
Mayor Haffey recalled the meeting to
order at 5:48 p.m., all Council present,
no action taken.
M/S Addiego/Teglia - To appoint Andrew F.
Feurstein, Jr., as Fire Chief for the
City of South San Francisco.
Councilman Nicolopulos stated that he
would prefer to act on this matter when
all Councilmembers could participate

AGENDA REVIEW
Discussion ensued concerning the
Inter-Office Memorandum from the Chief of
Police regarding the City's participation
in the Task Force; costs involved;
training available; contribution of funds
from the County, etc.
Staff directed to agendize for the next
meeting.
Discussion ensued regarding the formation
of the Program; costs involved; arrange-
ments to be made; concept presented by
Director of Recreation and Community
Services Director Norton.
M/S Addiego/Nicolopulos - To approve the
Concept.
Carried by unanimous voice vote.
ITEMS FROM STAFF
Deputy City Manager/City Engineer Yee
stated that he had met with the Finance
Committee of the San Francisco Board of
Supervisors and that they had approved
the City's Noise Insulation Program. He
stated that on April 8, 1985, the Board
of Supervisors would act on the matter,
