Damonte Gus Nicolopulos MINUTES City Council Municipal Services Building Community Room August 7, 1985 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, the 7th day of August, 1985, at 7:30 p.m., in the Municipal Services Building, Community room, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California. Purpose of the meeting: 1. Public Hearing - Sewer Rental Charges. Staff Report 8/7/85 recommending: 1) Open the Public Hearing and hear testi- mony; 2) Close the Public Hearing; 3) Adoption of a Resolution ratifying the Sewer Rental Report for 1985-86. e Closed Session for the purpose of the discussion of personnel matters, labor relations and litigation. Staff Report 8/7/85 recommending: 1) Open the Public Hearing and hear testimony; 2) Close the Public Hearing; 3) Adoption of a Resolution ratifying the Sewer Rental Report for 1985-86. ACTION TAKEN SPECIAL MEETING 7:37 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Teglia pre- sided. Council present: Council absent: Nicolopulos, Addiego and Teglia. Damonte and Haffey. Mayor Pro Tem Teglia opened the Public Hearing. Finance Director Lipton stated that pur- suant to State Law and the Municipal Code he had filed a report of sewer rental charges with the City Clerk that incor- porates the rate structure that the Council adopted several weeks ago. He stated that property owners had had the opportunity to protest the rate computed and any changes made by the City Engineer to the report. 8/7/85 Page I AGENDA ACTION TAKEN Public Hearing - Continued. Staff Report 8/7/85 - Continued. Mayor Pro Tem Teglia questioned if all legal advertisements had been performed. Finance Director Lipton stated that all legal publications had been made. Mayor Pro Tem Teglia then invited anyone wishing to speak in favor of the sewer rental charges to step to the dais - no one chose to speak. She then invited those wishing to speak against the sewer rental charges to step to the dais - no one chose to speak and she closed the Public Hearing. M/S Addiego/Nicolopulos - to adopt the Resolution. RESOLUTION NO. 158-85 Carried by unanimous roll call vote. CLOSED SESSION CLOSED SESSION ® Closed Session for the purpose of the discussion of personnel mat- ters, labor relations and litiga- tion. Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 7:42 p.m. to discuss whether or not to initiate a law suit. RECALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem Teglia recalled the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m., all Council pre- sent, and stated that no action had been taken and the City Attorney had been directed to proceed.
