COMMUNITY MEETING

Purpose of the Meeting:
Community meeting to discuss the energy situation in
South San Francisco; co-hosted by the City of South San
Francisco, Chamber of Commerce and AES Pacific
Mayor Femekes opened the Community Meeting at 7:05 p.m., a quorum was attained at 7:10 p.m.
Call to order: 7:10 p.m.
Roll Call: Present:
Councilmembers Gonzalez*, Matsumoto* and Penna*,
and Mayor Fernekes
Absent:
Mayor Pro Tem Mullin
Staff Present: City Manager Wilson, Assistant City Attomey Johnson, and
Assistant City Manager Moss
*Councilmembers Matsumoto and Gonzalez arrived at 7:10 p.m.
and Councilman Penna arrived at 7:12 p.m.
Mayor Femekes stated the meeting was informational only. He introduced the panel participants, as
follows
· Mr. Greg Cochran, Chamber of Commerce
· Mr. Ron Calvert, California ISO
· Mr. Joel Spray, Genentech
· Mr. Glen Davis, AES
Mr. Cochran facilitated the panel discussion; Messrs. Calvert, Spray and Davis gave presentations.
Questions from the audience were directed to the panel for response.
Council did not participate in the discussion. Councilman Gonzalez suggested another meeting be
held for the panel to respond to questions that went unanswered.
Motion-PennaJSecond-Matsumoto: To adjourn the meeting at 8:36 p.m. Approved by voice vote.
