ABSENT: Boardmember Garbarino.
* Boardmember Normandy arrived at 6:04 p.m.
Boardmember Garbarino is in Sacramento on City
business.
3. Agenda Review.
Mike Futrell, City Manager requested to pull item 7 from the agenda and bring back to council at a later
date.
4. Public Comments—comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting
Agenda.
None.

5. Closed Session: Conference with Real Property Negotiators: (Pursuant to

ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
8. Report regarding Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an
Exclusive Negotiating Rights Agreement (ENRA) between The City of South
San Francisco and MidPen Housing Corporation for a potential Disposition and
Development Agreement and Ground Lease and Development of Affordable
Workforce Housing at The City Owned Miller/Maple Parking Lot (APN
012311330) (Alex Greenwood:ECD Director)
Ron Gerber,Economic Development and Housing Manager presented the item to council.
Representative from MidPen in attendance to provide more information and answer any questions.
Boardmember Matsumoto mentioned talking about housing for public safety and most firefighters and
policemen wouldn't want to live in South San Francisco because they don't want residents approaching
them when off duty. Boardmember Matsumoto referenced how school teachers would also not like to
live in the school district they work in because they don't want parents coming up to them while they are
in the gas stations or supermarkets and having discussions with them.
Vice Chair Gupta asked about the two new funding sources mentioned in staff report and how the AMI
was extremely low and very low.
Boardmember Normandy mentioned the different unit sizes. She sees the studios, one bedroom and two
bedrooms units but doesn't know about 3 bedroom units.
Chair Addiego agreed with Boardmember Normandy but it was explained to him that they wanted to
appear family friendly.

roll call vote:

Being no further business,Chair Addiego adjourned the meeting at 6:52 p.m.
