Agenda.

4. Agenda Review.

5. Report regarding Board and Commission interviews and Conference Center Authority,
Housing Authority, Library Board, San Mateo County Flood Control District and
remaining Cultural Arts Commission appointments. (Krista Martinelli, City Clerk)
a. Interview Applicant for Multiple Board and Commission Positions:
6:00 p.m.: Steven Yee (Housing Authority Commissioner Seat; Library Board)
b. Interview Applicant for Conference Center Authority Hotelier Seat:

c. Interview Applicants for Housing Authority Tenant Commissioner Seat:

Previously interviewed applicants Ofrecio and Zachariah.
Councilmembers interviewed the above listed applicants, with the exception of Applicant Bertoldi.
Applicant Bertoldi withdrew his application from consideration.
h. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicant to the Conference
Center Authority Hotelier Seat. Council may appoint one (1) applicant to a
term expiring March 27, 2020.
Applicant: McGuire.
After voting, Council reappointed Applicant McGuire to the Conference Center Authority Hotelier
Seat.
Motion— Councilwoman Normandy/Second—Vice Mayor Gupta: to appoint applicant McGuire to the
Conference Center Authority Hotelier Seat for a term expiring March 27, 2020. Approved by the
following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice Mayor Gupta and
Mayor Addiego; NAYES: None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN: None.
i. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicant to the Housing
Authority Tenant Commissioner Seat. Council may appoint one (1)
applicant to a term expiring March 31, 2018.
Applicants: Bogdan and Heden.
After voting, Council reappointed Applicant Heden to the Housing Authority Tenant Commissioner
Seat.

Motion— Councilwoman Normandy/Second—Vice Mayor Gupta: to appoint Applicant Heden to the
Housing Authority Tenant Commissioner Seat for a term expiring March 31, 2018. Approved by the
following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice Mayor Gupta and
Mayor Addiego; NAYES: None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN: None.
j. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicant to the Housing
Authority Commissioner Seat. Council may appoint one applicant to a
term expiring March 31, 2020.
Applicants: Gekker, Patel, Yee and Yu.
After discussion and voting, Council appointed Applicant Patel to the Housing Authority
Commissioner Seat.
Motion— Councilwoman Normandy/Second—Vice Mayor Gupta: to appoint Applicant Patel to the
Housing Authority Commissioner Seat for a term expiring March 31, 2020. Approved by the
following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice Mayor Gupta and
Mayor Addiego; NAYES: None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN: None.
k. Discussion and appointment of applicant to the Library Board. Council may
appoint one applicant to a term expiring June 30, 2019.
Applicants: Bogdan, Estrada Jr., Lambertson, Ramirez and Yee.
After discussion and voting, Council reappointed Applicant Lambertson to the Library Board.
Motion—Vice Mayor Gupta/Second—Councilwoman Normandy: to reappoint Applicant Lambertson
to the Library Board for a term expiring June 30, 2019. Approved by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice Mayor Gupta and Mayor Addiego;
NAYES: None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN: None.
1. Discussion and determination of residency status related to Cultural Arts
Commissioner Bertoldi.
City Attorney Rosenberg advised discussion was not required due to withdrawal of Bertoldi
application.
m. Discussion and appointment of applicants to the Cultural Arts Commission.
Council may appoint two (2) applicants to terms expiring June 13, 2020.
Applicants: Bertoldi, Bogdan Gekker, Ofrecio, Ventura and Zachariah.
After voting, Council appointed Applicants Gekker and Ventura to the Cultural Arts Commission.
Motion— Councilwoman Normandy/Second—Vice Mayor Gupta: to appoint Applicants Gekker and
Ventura to respective seats on the Cultural Arts Commission for terms expiring June 13, 2020.
Approved by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice
Mayor Gupta and Mayor Addiego; NAYES: None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN:
None.

n. Discussion and appointment of applicant to the San Mateo County Flood Control
District.
Applicants: Grindy and Wolfe.
After discussion and voting, Council appointed Applicant Silva Wolfe to the Colma Creek Flood
Zone Advisory Committee of the San Mateo County Flood Control District.
Motion— Councilwoman Normandy/Second—Vice Mayor Gupta: to appoint applicant Silva Wolfe to
the Colma Creek Flood Zone Advisory Committee of the San Mateo County Flood Control District
for a term expiring March 31, 2020. Approved by the following roll call vote: AYES:
Councilmembers Matsumoto and Normandy, Vice Mayor Gupta and Mayor Addiego; NAYES:
None; ABSENT: Councilman Garbarino; ABSTAIN: None.

Being no further business, Mayor Addiego adjourned the meeting at 8:31 p.m.
