Call to Order 6:10 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: o Public Comments Absent: None. (Cassette Tape No. 1) Councilmembers Femekes, Garbarino and Gonzalez, Vice Mayor Green and Mayor Matsumoto None Interview applicants for Housing Authority and Cultural Arts Commission The following applicants were interviewed by Council: · Andrew Estigoy (interviewed for Housing Authority and Cultural Arts Commission) · Sonia Kucera · Harold Molumby · Nancy Britt Not in attendance were applicants Soledad Garcia, Alison Bond, Juan Bustos, Eva Cezana and Frank Roman. Mayor Matsumoto requested that Item No. 6, Closed Session, be taken next, which will allow time for other applicants to arrive. Closed Session: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a), existing litigation, Costco v. City of South San Francisco and California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) v. City of South San Francisco Time entered into Closed Session: Time reconvened into Open Session: Report from Closed Session: City Attorney Mattas reported the following: a) Costco: direction given/no action taken. 6:45 p.m 7:03 p.m. (All Councilmembers present) b) California Department of Toxic Substances Control: Council, by vote of 5-0, approved the First Amendment to the Stage II PRP Agreement and also approved being in the category of settling and releasing, rather than releasing and indemnifying, the de minimis contributing parties." 5. Discussion/appointments to Housing Authority and Cultural Arts Commission Council voted by ballot with the following results: · Harold Molumby, reappointed, Housing Authority, non-tenant commissioner, term expiring March 31, 2008 · Nancy Britt, reappointed, Housing Authority, tenant commissioner, term expiring March 31, 2006 Motion-Fernekes/Second-Garbarino: To reappoint Harold Molumby (term expiring 3/31/08) and Nancy Britt (term expiring 3/31/06) to the Housing Authority. Unanimously approved by voice vote. By consensus of Council, Mayor Matsumoto announced that the appointment to the Cultural Arts Commission will be delayed for one month, and applicants, who did not appear, will be contacted to verify their interest in serving on the Commission. 7.
