NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the
State of California, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting
on Thursday, the 30~h day of September, 2004, at 5:30 p.m., in the Municipal Services Building,
Community Room, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California.

Closed Session: Pursuant to Govermnent Code Section 54957.6
conference with Labor Negotiator Jennifer Bower on negotiations with all
labor units

Motion to approve Public Employees Retirement System's Fresh Start
Program and authorize staff to transmit letter to PERS approving same
