ROUTES IN TH]~ CIT~ OF SOUTH SAN ?RANCISC0.
The Board of Trustees of the City of South San Prancisco
do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Every person, firm or corporation,either
as principal or agent, who r~aintainsa la~Ludry route, or who
carries on a lalzndry b~siness as agent, solicitor, representative,
or employee shall pay a license tax of Two Hundred and ?ifty
Dollars ($£50.00) per ann~m, pa~able q~art~,rly in advance, ~Luless
the.maste~ or principa% has paid such license tax. It shall be
unlawful to carry on or solicit for such laundry business ~n~til
said tax. shall be paid; provided, however, theft nothing herein
contained shall apply to any persons, firm or corporation having
a fixed place of business within the City of South San l~rancisco
where laundry work is done.
Section £. Every person who shall violate any of the
terms of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be p~uuished by a fine of not more than
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or by imprisonment for not more than one
month, or by both such fine and tnprison~lent. Each day's con-
ttnuanee of violation of the terms of this ordinance shall constitute
a separate offense anti'shall be punishable as herein provided.
Section Z. Ordinance No. 68 of the City of So~th San
Prancisco entitled "An ordin~nce imposing a license tax upon la~uudry
rotates in the City of South,. ~an ~rancisco" passed and adopted ~'Iay
19th, 191,~, is hereby repealed.
Se~tion 4. This ordinance ·shall be published once '
in "The F~nterprise" a weekly newspaper printed, published and

circulated in the City of South San Prancisco and shall take effect
and be in force from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days
from the date of its passage.
